Jola Studios is a public art studio led by Anjola Ayodele, a Nigerian-American muralist and public artist based in Kansas City, Missouri. Guided by the mission “storytelling through art that transforms spaces of connection” Jola Studios creates murals and large-scale art installations rooted in place, culture, and community voice.
Anjola’s practice is grounded in site-responsive, community-informed work shaped by lived experience across the world. Having lived in Nigeria, Texas, New York, Arizona, and now Missouri, her work reflects an ongoing dialogue between history, identity, and the people who inhabit a space. Collaboration is central to every project, prioritizing listening, engagement to ensure each artwork reflects local narratives with care and integrity.
Jola Studios has completed public-facing projects for neighborhood festivals, city infrastructure, and civic spaces, including work with various cities in Arizona, Mesa, Tempe, Flagstaff, and Park City, Utah, among others. The studio also brings experience in sculptural and dimensional public art, expanding beyond painted surfaces to activate space in immersive ways.
In addition to leading projects directly, Jola Studios is happy to connect clients with a trusted network of artists and fabricators, allowing projects to be executed anywhere in the U.S. while maintaining artistic excellence, inclusivity, and strong project coordination from concept through completion.

Yes. Jola Studios works with clients nationwide and globally. Most planning, design, and communication is handled remotely, with travel arranged as needed for installation. This allows us to collaborate efficiently while delivering high-quality work regardless of location.
